My First Affordable Art Fair Melbourne: Four Days of Connection, Energy, and Art

Francesca Laude

I’ve just finished four incredible days exhibiting at the Affordable Art Fair Melbourne 2025 — and what an experience it has been. Walking into the Royal Exhibition Building on the first morning, I wasn’t sure what to expect, being my first time at this huge event but the energy and buzz of this beautiful space eased any trepidation I had.

Over the four days, I spoke with collectors, curious visitors, fellow artists, and gallery owners. Some people came with specific pieces in mind, others were discovering my work for the first time. I watched people pause, lean in closer, and connect with the symbols and principles behind my work. To know that my work resonated, that someone wanted to take it home and make it part of their own life, is something I’ll never forget.

By the end of day four, I was exhausted but completely recharged in spirit. I’ve learned so much about sharing the story behind my work, connecting people's challenges with the guiding principles in my work and about providing positivity and inspiration throughout. The Affordable Art Fair has been more than just an event for me — it’s been a milestone.

If you visited, thank you for stopping by and sharing a piece of your weekend with me. And if you couldn’t make it, I’ll be sharing some reflections, highlights, and prints of works online soon. This is just one milestone, and I can’t wait to keep building!
