The many layers of texture and underpaintings that peak through from underneath in this painting symbolise phases of time, some more chaotic than others but from hard times come courageous efforts and amazing feats of bravery and determination in the face of adversity. There is no time like the present and no excuse not to begin. Accept that things take time but if you never start, you will never get there.
